This Is Why Rihanna Steals Wine Glasses From Restaurants, And LOL

Rihanna steals wine glasses

A lot of us have a weird quirk when it comes to dining out. For example, some people like to swipe coffee mugs from the place where they enjoyed a vacation brunch, and some try to see if they can get away with snatching the whole menu. Stealing’s never right, but sometimes you might give a pass to someone who’s doing it for a tiny sense of adventure. (Especially if it’s, say, an old dingy menu that’s about to be replaced anyway, okay?!) Actress and singer Rihanna steals wine glasses, and hey — at least she’s open about it.

Should you follow Rihanna’s lead? Probably not. But you can, at the very least, be amused by her story, which she chatted about on the June 15th episode of The Graham Norton Show. While promoting her new movie, Ocean’s Eight, Rihanna seemed surprised when host Graham Norton called her out as being an actual criminal. Norton pointed out that there are plenty of paparazzi photos showing her leaving an establishment while holding onto a full glass of wine.

The best part about it? In every shot, Rihanna looks totally natural and chill while swiping the glasses. You would never have expected that she was capable of such sneaky behavior.

Rihanna admitted some of the glasses were crystal, but tried to make things right by saying that one glass, which she swiped at a fashion show, was actually returned to the hotel she took it from. In another picture, she said she arrived at the club with the glass, which — not buying it, girl.

“Sometimes, you don’t even bother to steal the glass,” Norton said, after showing a photo of Rihanna exiting a venue with a full bottle of wine.

The arrangement of photos is pretty funny. While Rihanna probably didn’t expect getting called out (especially since she realized her “mom is gonna see this”), hopefully she doesn’t quit her quirky hobby now that she knows people are paying closer attention.
