Thanks to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, we’ve come to expect lots of royal family tradition breaking this year. But we would have never thought such a thing would come from the other duchess, Kate Middleton. Her time spent in the public eye has been relatively well-behaved, as she followed all of the Queen’s rules and was never super challenging with the restrictions placed on her.
All of that has seemed to change with her latest stint of rule-breaking at the Queen’s Christmas luncheon. At this particular gathering, guests would typically wear festive colors like dark green, burgundy, or other muted colors (maybe with some flashier, but small, details). Middleton decided to wear bright pink this year. Bright. Pink. Normally, only the Queen can wear eye-catching colors, which she flawlessly does.
The Duchess of Cambridge probably wanted to just shake it up a little. And boy, was she successful.

Pink isn’t necessarily against the royal rules, but it’s kind of an unspoken tradition to stick to a more plainly-colored wardrobe that fits the occasion. Middleton was, of course, still as sophisticated as she typically is. And since the press isn’t given access to these events, it’s unlikely that a full body shot of Middleton’s beautiful, rebellious garb will surface. Unlike Middleton, Markle made some more traditional choices for the luncheon, with opaque black tights and an elegant navy blue dress with green and yellow flowers (one she has previously worn!).
Meghan Markle doesn't dress better than Kate Middleton BUT Kate also doesn't dress better than Meghan they have 2 different fashion styles and I love both equally 👌Some people just prefer Meghan & some prefer Kate but both women are equals in my eyes 👌

The perfect post-holiday lunch treats:
We’re sure that they both looked amazing, since they always do. And we hope that Middleton’s fashion choice didn’t cause any commotion at the traditional luncheon.
