Want to turn an ordinary sheet cake into something extraordinary? Using our clever hacks, some frosting, fondant, and imagination, you can create the cakes of your wildest dreams (and show them off to your entire Instagram audience).

Cactus Cake

Ingredients:

1 rectangular yellow sheet cake

Green frosting

A spoon

White sprinkles

Floral cupcakes

Instructions:

1. Cut your yellow sheet cake in the shape of a cactus, using our video as a guide.

2. Frost the entire cake in green frosting, and use a spoon to create the cactus lines.

3. Cover the cake in white sprinkles, and add floral cupcakes to the “branches.”

 

Puppy Cake

So Yummy

Ingredients:

2 heart-shaped yellow cakes

Brown and white frosting

A fork

Fondant nose (black) with a spritz of water

Fondant eyes (black and white)

Fondant tongue (pink)

Dog bone-shaped cookie

Instructions:

1. Cut one heart cake in half, making dog ears. Place the other heart cake in between.

2. Frost the ears brown and the face white, including a cute brown spot.

3. Run the fork through the frosting to make it fur-like.

4. Place the fondant eyes, tongue, and nose on the cake, spraying the nose with some water.

5. Place the bone cookie beneath the tongue.

 

Football Cake

Ingredients:

1 square yellow cake

1 round yellow cake

Brown and white frosting

Sheet of paper towel

Instructions:

1. Cut an oval out of the square cake. Take the edges aside and place the round cake in between.

2. Frost the entire cake brown.

3. Press paper towel into the frosting, creating the football pattern.

4. Frost the football details in white.

 

Elephant Cake

Ingredients:

2 round yellow cakes

Grey frosting

Pink marshmallows, cut in half

1 fondant ear (pink and grey)

1 fondant tail (grey)

1 fondant tusk (white)

1 fondant eye (black and white)

Circus Peanut candy

Instructions:

1. Cut the first round cake using our video as a guideline, placing the second round cake in the center.

2. Frost the cake using the grey frosting.

3. Place the pink marshmallows as the elephant’s toes.

4. Place the ear, tail, rusk, and eye accordingly.

5. Feed your cake elephant some Circus Peanuts!

 

Donut & Coffee Cake

Ingredients:

1 round yellow cake

Ice cream scoop

Light and dark brown, pink, and white frosting

Rainbow sprinkles

Fondant mug handle (white)

Instructions:

1. Cut a circle out of the center of the round cake — set it aside.

2. Frost the donut cake with light brown frosting, and the coffee mug cake with dark brown.

3. Frost the donut cake with pink frosting and cover in rainbow sprinkles.

4. Create your coffee mug cake using the white frosting and fondant mug handle.

 

Fairy Cake

Ingredients:

1 rectangular yellow sheet cake

Blue, purple, grey, and white frosting

White fondant strip

Barbie

Various fondant shapes

Fondant star wand (star-shaped dough, toothpick, yellow sprinkles)

Instructions:

1. Cut and form the cake according to our video.

2. Frost the wings using blue, purple, and grey frosting. Frost the body with white.

3. Cover the body in white fondant, placing a Barbie on top. Give the Barbie a wand made of star-shaped dough, yellow sprinkles, and a toothpick.

4. Add various fondant shapes to the wings.

 

Turtle Cake

Ingredients:

1 round yellow cake

4 yellow cupcakes

Green frosting

Almonds, sliced

Fondant eyes (white and black)

Fondant tail (grey)

Fondant shell shapes (grey)

Instructions:

1. Surround the round cake with 3 halved cupcakes and one full cupcake, following our video to form the turtle’s arms and head.

2. Frost the entire cake using green frosting and add sliced almonds as the turtle’s nails.

3. Place the fondant eyes, tail, and shell shapes on the turtle.

 

 

Rocket Cake

Ingredients:

1 round yellow cake

Blue and orange frosting

A spoon

Fondant parts (grey)

Fondant flames (orange-red)

Instructions:

1. Cut the round cake, following our video guidelines, and form into a rocket.

2. Frost the rocket cake with blue and orange frosting.

3. Use a spoon to create the rocket’s ridges.

4. Add the fondant parts and flames.

 

Snake Cake

Ingredients:

2 yellow bundt cakes

Yellow and white frosting

Fondant eyes (green, black, and white)

Fondant tongue (red)

Instructions:

1. Cut and form the snake body by following along with our video.

2. Frost the entire cake using white and yellow frosting, making sure to create a face with the yellow.

3. Add the fondant eyes and tongue.
