This Is How To Actually Eat Breakfast Every Morning… And Still Make It To Work On Time

breakfast hack

I don’t like to consider myself lazy when it comes to cooking, but there are some days when I literally can’t bring myself to turn the stove on. Make eggs and bacon? No thanks! And sometimes, I’m in so much of a rush that I have to resort to frozen or canned meals, which I wouldn’t choose if homemade were an option. To add to this sadness, I’m also the furthest thing from being a morning person, yet breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. You can see why that’s a problem.

Most mornings, I really want a nice breakfast, but I know that it’ll make me late. Warm, filling scrambles filled with veggies and crispy bacon bits or indulgent smoothie bowls are hardly realities. Instead, I’m stuck with a rushed bowl of cereal or nothing at all. I still love cereal, don’t get me wrong, but I like to enjoy my breakfast food without checking the clock every second. Lucky for me (and college freshman me who was stuck with microwaves and gross dining halls only), I discovered the perfect way to have a full, brunch-style breakfast whenever I want — without the time commitment. The Lékué Microwave Bacon Maker takes all the time out of preheating the stove and saves me from piping hot oil. Best of all? It’s only $19.99. That’s like two burrito meals from Chipotle, guys.

You can buy it here.

So Yummy

Since multitasking is one of my favorite things to do, being able to cook something in the microwave lets me get much more done. While the bacon cooks in the microwave, which takes less than 5 minutes, I can make a scramble on the stove and finish packing my bag for the day. The best part? I never feel rushed, which automatically makes me feel like I’m going to have the best day.

Now, I get to have an actual breakfast and save some time before I head out the door. Is that really too much to ask?
