Go Big or Go Home in Bangkok with This 25-Course Meal

There is nothing normal about this Indian Restaurant and the entire world is intrigued. Gaggan has been ranked the 7th best restaurant in the world as of 2o17. Gaggan has also been ranked the best restaurant in Asia for three consecutive years. This mysterious 25-course meal experience is a popular attraction for food lovers all over the world. The courses are a mystery and the menu is written in only emojis. For an estimated four hours, guests are only given clues of their next course. Guests are also recommended not to partake in cocktails until the end of their meal. Without booze, people are still in a frenzy about this place.

This restaurant wins over guests with food quality as well. The mastermind behind this epic culinary concept is Chef Gaggan Anand. He has described his food on Gaggan’s website as, “progressive Indian Cuisine.” That’s a great way of describing it since reviews from guests at Gaggan mention goat-brain cream being brought to their table. The editors over at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants agree and has also labeled the dishes “boundary-pushing.” The price per person is $115, which is relatively inexpensive considering the prices from other restaurants with similar concepts.

Here’s a video from travel blogger and mentor Fous4 who traveled to Bangkok solely for this experience at Gaggan. The ambiance of the restaurant is quite serene. There is little clarity of what food is being placed in front of him, however, every dish looks great and will make you want to bite into it, too. Don’t worry, this video isn’t necessarily a spoiler to the mysterious menu. Chef Gaggan changes it monthly, sometimes weekly.
