This dessert combines all my favorite goodies: chocolate, brownies, Oreos… and CUPCAKES!! Don’t even get me started on this buttercream that’s made from the gods. Let’s see if we can get through this recipe without drooling. Race ya to the finish!
Ingredients
Serves 12
- Peanut butter
- 26 Oreos
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup melted butter
- ½ cup flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- Chocolate buttercream
- Peanut butter buttercream
Instructions
Alright, let’s get right down to it. Take one scrumptious Oreo and spread that gooey greatness we call peanut butter on top. Place another Oreo on top with another smooth layer of peanut butter covering that one. Repeat for the remaining cookies. Set aside (don’t let these babies tempt you, the finished product will be worth the wait!).
In a large bowl, whisk together your eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and melted butter. It’s going to look worse until it looks better, trust.
Next, combine your flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt with the egg mixture. You should end up with the perfect chocolate batter.
Pour that heavenly batter into a greased pan. We’re getting closer to the magic!
Getting back to our yummy Oreos. Flip the peanut butter layered cookies so that the peanut butter is facing down and push into the batter. Uhm. Cue the drool.
Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350°F. Yaaassssss!
To create the frosting swirl, pipe out chocolate and peanut butter buttercream onto plastic wrap. I really want to skip this part and pour this directly into my mouth…ugh, next time.
Roll the plastic and cut off the bottom. Place the frosting in a piping bag. I AM CHEF, HEAR ME BAKE!
Finally, pipe some of that luscious frosting onto your freshly baked brownie cupcakes. All that’s left is to EAT THEM ALL BEFORE ANYONE FINDS OUT! I guess you could share, but who would do that?
If you already made them, show your friend this video and ask if they want to try and bake this. MORE BROWNIE CUPCAKES FOR YOU!!!
