Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Family Holiday Photo Is Shockingly Casual AF
Besides the state dinners, crowns, and whole “living in a castle” thing, the royal family is just like us. At least, that’s what the latest royal family photo leads us to believe. It seriously looks like it could be our own family Christmas card.
On December 14th, the Kensington Royal Palace Instagram page uploaded a recent pic of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s branch of the family tree. The entire crew is in jeans and sweaters, and Will even has the first few buttons of his shirt undone. Is this level of casualness even acceptable? Queen Elizabeth, please share your thoughts.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family,” the caption of the official Instagram post reads. “The photograph, taken by Matt Porteous, shows The Duke and Duchess with their three children at Anmer Hall. This photograph features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.”
And actually, this will also be our 2018 Christmas card, as well.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte are hamming it up in the back, like older siblings are wont to do. And ‘lil Louis down in front is even a cracking a ‘lil baby smile. The photograph is familial perfection.

2018 has been the year of expansion and milestones for the royal family — and that means, there’s been more than enough family photos taken throughout the past 365 days. In November, the posh posse celebrated Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, and showed us the receipts.
Princess Eugenie got married in October, and the fam provided proof.
And Louis was Christened in July, and the whole fam-damily was there.
Someone else got married this year, too, but we forget who. There wasn’t much coverage of it…
Oh, right — it was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They actually put out their first Christmas card as a married couple today, as well. It’s a snapshot from their May 19th wedding reception. Very modern. Very romantic. Very royal.

Will and Kate’s 2018 Christmas card gives off a totally different vibe from last year’s. Suited and dressed to the nines, Will, Kate, Charlotte, and George (this was B.L. — before Louis) were all perfectly poised in matching dusty blue outfits.
It seems like we are all in agreement that we’re loving the casual look.
