When you are planning a wedding, there are tons of things to think about. You’re basically planning a big party for everyone you’re inviting, and it also happens to be one of the most important and memorable days of your life. That’s a lot of pressure, and so of course you want it to be as perfect as possible. But you also want it to have some sort of authentic, personal touch that makes it seem like your wedding, which needs to be taken into consideration when figuring out all of the little details — like the food. Whether your wedding is big or small, one thing is for sure: everyone wants the food to be awesome, and there are certain items they absolutely have to have. Miley Cyrus had some demands for her own wedding with Liam Hemsworth!
Food at a wedding can really make or break a party, and you want it to be good. But you also want the menu to be full of things you would eat and love — it is your day, after all! So, it’s normal for couples to pick some of their favorite dishes so they can be included. Cyrus recently said that she did this for her wedding to Hemsworth, and honestly, the one food Cyrus had to have at her wedding will make you love her even more than you already do: it’s that good.
Cyrus revealed the one food she had to have at her wedding ceremony to Hemsworth, and it’s a classic.
She told E! News that she absolutely had to have vegan chicken and dumplings, which honestly sounds amazing.
When speaking to E! at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, Cyrus explained, “That was my only rider. I would do anything for dumplings. You could add nothing else. I didn’t even need a dress; I was trying to wear leggings and a hoodie. I just wanted dumplings, that’s all.”
That’s definitely not your typical wedding food, but maybe that’s what makes it even better? Imagine going to a wedding and getting dumplings?! It’s perfect.
It also makes sense that Cyrus would choose vegan chicken and dumplings, since she’s vegan. She made the decision to go vegan back around 2015, when her dog, Floyd, was killed by a coyote. She told Paper magazine she quit eating meat immediately.

Hemsworth has also said he’s vegan, explaining, “My own health, and after all the information I gathered about the mistreatment of animals, I couldn’t continue to eat meat. The more I was aware of, the harder and harder it was to do.”
Cyrus and Hemsworth seemed to have a pretty vegan-themed wedding.
Us Weekly reported that she wore sustainable vegan shoes with her silk Vivienne Westwood gown. They were custom white satin heels made by Cult of CoquetteOpens a New Window, a Hollywood-based cruelty-free footwear brand.

Their menu was also probably completely vegan, according to In Touch Weekly. A source said the two served truffle mac and cheese, vegan fried chicken, and for dessert, vegan banana pudding and vegan vanilla cupcakes. The cake was also a vegan vanilla with vanilla bean buttercream.
The two got married at the end of 2018 in an intimate ceremony after knowing each other since 2010 when they filmed The Last Song. Their relationship has been full of ups and downs, but the wedding was a very happy ending (rather, beginning).

We love that their wedding is a reminder of how delicious vegan food can be. And Cyrus obviously does too!
Fans of Cyrus talked about how much they loved her vegan chicken and dumplings choice.
Some even said she was inspiring them to go vegan. That’s a big deal!
Others simply want to know how to get their own vegan chicken and dumplings. We don’t blame them!
And some people are planning on serving the same dish at their wedding.
We just might look for a recipe for this tonight!
