Banana Milano Cookies Are Coming Back, But Only For A Short Time

One of my least favorite things in the world is when food products get us hooked, but aren’t available year-round. For example, the only time I’ve ever truly needed Taco Bell Nacho Fries was when they were on hiatus. So while it’s good that everyone’s ultimate favorite Milano cookies are making a comeback, you might want to stock up. Unlike Nacho Fries, at least you can build a healthy stash of cookies for when they’re no longer available.

The Milano in question combines one of the most underrated food combinations ever — chocolate and banana.

Released annually by Pepperidge Farm, they’re meant to help celebrate springtimes. And let’s just say, their arrival always brings a lot of beautiful chaos.

Never seen them before?

Well, they’re still fairly new. Pepperidge Farm initially released them in 2016 to rave reviews. If you thought that normal Milanos were the best, you might want to see if the banana and chocolate version changes that ranking for you.

The best news is that they’re actually pretty.

It seems weird to say that about a cookie, but both the product and the packaging itself are like no other. The bad part? Those spring flowers may inspire you to gorge on the whole bag in one sitting.

That’s a huge inconvenience if you’re hoping to stock these in your pantry year-round.

So, before you grab them at the store, you may want to give yourself a little bit of a pep talk first. Consider them to be as scarce and as valuable as Girl Scout Cookies.

Delish reports that the cookies are currently selling for $2.99 at Target. That’s a pretty amazing deal for what you get.

Seriously — if you’ve never tried chocolate and banana together before, this cookie will serve as the best introduction. It’s kind of strange that more cookies haven’t taken on the flavor.

Wouldn’t you imagine that Oreo would give the combination a shot?

They’ve sold Banana Split before as a limited flavor, but it doesn’t look to be the same whatsoever.

If you think about it, there aren’t many banana cookies out there.

So, perhaps that’s another reason why the Pepperidge Farm version is so popular.

Unlike, say, a chocolate chip cookie, these banana-infused treats have no competition.

It’s just a bummer that they’re a limited flavor.

It’s hard to find a bad review of these online.

Perhaps Chocolate Banana Milano fans should band together and campaign to make them a constant staple in the Milano lineup.

Speaking of, there are so many Milano flavors out there that you may not even know about just yet.

According to their website, they also have Milanos in flavors like Cinnamon Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt, and even Coconut.

Who knew? All this time, I never realized they had such variety.

They even have special holiday-themed Milanos.

These might sound a little peculiar, but Pepperidge Farm knows what they’re doing.

Much like Oreos, these varied Milanos also have a huge fanbase.

Junk food fanatic and popular food Instagrammer Markie Devo even revealed their favorite flavor this year.

If you want to give the chocolate banana flavor a shot, but have a feeling it’ll cause you to devour the whole bag, it may be time to get creative.

Milano cookies have proven to be an incredible go-to if you’re looking to make a themed cookie creation.

Halloween may be over, but you can get creative.

These would be the perfect cookie for a friend’s bridal shower or just an anytime party. All they need is a little decor.

Milano inspiration is everywhere. Of course, if you just brought in a bag of these undecorated, literally nobody would complain.

Even though it’s unclear as to how long these will be available, a Pepperidge Farm tweet from last year makes me think that you might want to stock up now.

Last year’s batch may have come out earlier, but if that wasn’t the case, April is literally just weeks away.

At the very least, the company seems to understand how many people have become Chocolate Banana Milano addicts.

So, it’s very doubtful that these won’t be back next year.

In the meantime, you can also experiment and try to make your own Banana Chocolate Milanos at home.

They won’t be the same, but they might help when you have an off-season craving.
