Before he was Aquaman, Jason Momoa was Khal Drogo in the first season of Game of Thrones. So, obviously Momoa was invited to the April 3rd New York City premiere of the first episode of Season 8. And he arrived in classic Khal Drogo style — with a beer in hand and his Khaleesi by his side. We love this man so much.
Momoa attended the NYC premiere with wife Lisa Bonet, who donned a white cape that honestly screamed Khaleesi. Momoa showed up to the red carpet in a pink suede jacket, decked out in sunglasses, rings, and a can of Guinness.
Guinness beer holds a special place in Momoa’s heart. Not only is it his favorite libation, but it’s how he knew he had fallen hard for Bonet. “We sat down, she ordered a Guinness and that was it,” Momoa told The Late Late Show’s James Corden back in 2017. “I beyond love Guinness. We had Guinness and grits, and the rest is history.”
And TBH, the rest is history for the cast of Game of Thrones, too. The final season premieres to the public on April 14th. From here on out, our favorite actors and actresses who played some of the most flawed, badass, and lovable characters on television for nearly a decade will part ways and move on to other projects.
We’re not crying. We’re not crying.
After finishing up his Guinness, Momoa blew into the event, ignoring literally everyone asking for a picture. The Khal cannot be bothered to pose for you peasants.

And while at the GoT afterparty, Momoa met up with his on-screen Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke. This Dothraki reunion is honestly too much.

Their alter egos definitely got off to a weird start — and a weird end, for that matter. But real-life Momoa and Clarke are truly #BFFGoals.
khaleesi and drogo's relationship was fucked up but emilia clarke and jason momoa's is goals on so many levels 👌 pic.twitter.com/Up2xBG9BUg

Momoa also hung out with Jon Snow (aka Kit Harington), which could have been ~super~ awk. “When you meet your girlfriend’s ex,” a Harington fan account captioned this pic:
Awkward meetups were actually happening left and right at the afterparty. Sophie Turner and Jack Gleeson — Sansa Stark and Joffrey Baratheon — posed for a pic while Turner’s fiancé Joe Jonas stood on the sidelines.
Don’t worry, Joe. She was really never that into him.
And as she’s wont to do, Clarke took pics with all of her friends. She’s our favorite Instagrammer for this reason.
Three Stark siblings — Maisie Williams, Turner, and Harington — hung out on the red carpet. (That third pic is what all best friend pics should look like.)
These party pics are getting us really stoked for the season premiere. Even though we don’t want the show to end, we really can’t wait to dive back into the world of Westeros.

And all the pics from the N.Y.C. premiere have people scheming. How is this story going to end?
Yup. That picture of Gwen & Nikolaj just cemented in my brain that Jaime and Brienne must end up together. She’ll know how to keep him in line 😈. @lovegwendoline @nikolajcw

Is Dany going to finally gain control of the Iron Throne? Is Cersei destined for doom?
Are they standing in order of importance? 🤔 means Dany will get the throne. Where is Cercei?

Wait — are we in some sort of Truman Show scenario? We’re scared.
Now we’re even more worried. The Night King is seriously our greatest fear — even when he’s shimmying!

Good LORD. The anticipation has us like:
Tune in to HBO on April 14th to see the last first episode of Game of Thrones. Perhaps the ghost of Khal Drogo will make a surprise appearance. We can only hope.
