According To Kate Middleton, Prince William Is A “Nightmare” When He Eats Pizza

Even though you probably imagine fancy cuisine when picturing the royals eat (since we all think about it on occasion, right? Just me?) it turns out that Prince William lets himself live a little with pizza. Which, good. The Prince does so much humanitarian work and he’s the father of three, so he deserves a slice or two on occasion. But, here’s the bad news. According to Kate Middleton, he’s not super graceful with it.

Now, yes. We expect the royal family to have pretty proper table manners. Especially because the Queen seems really concerned about keeping up with appearances. It’s why she’s banned Meghan Markle (and likely Middleton as well) from eating foods like garlic while out meeting people.

But when Prince William is all alone, it seems like he might very well get pizza smudges all over the couch. Imagining Prince William eating pizza while watching a marathon of The Crown is probably one of the best things ever.

Unfortunately, the details weren’t made clear. We don’t know if he prefers spinach and tomato to pepperoni, or if he’s more of a plain cheese kind of guy. But we know it’s something that Middleton has mentioned at least once before.

That’s because she was open about it while the two were opening the Oasis recreation center. The center is meant for young British military personnel to relax. The center reportedly has yellow sofas, which caused William to quip to the soldiers to “keep the pizza off the sofas!”

Kate’s response was an unexpected burn. “You’re a nightmare with that!” she said, according to People. And all this time, we thought that’d be a Prince Harry move.

But, this might not be delivery pizza. According to MiddletonMaven on Twitter, Harry once stated that his kids make pizza for him. Whether it’s homemade or DiGiorno is still unknown.

The royals have a lot of food rules, so we’re actually kinda surprised Prince William is even allowed to eat pizza! Here are some of the rules they need to abide by:

First of all, nobody in the royal family, children included, can eat with the Queen unless they’re wearing formal clothes.

The Queen HAS to approve of the menu first.

There’s never, ever pasta for dinner. The Queen only approves of healthy dinners, and she doesn’t consider carbs healthy. As we all know, this majorly sucks for Meghan Markle, since girl loves her fries.

That goes for shellfish. It’s because shellfish is more likely to leave you with an upset stomach if it’s not fresh, and the royals simply can’t afford to get food poisoning.

When the Queen is done eating, everyone is done eating. Sucks if you’re a slow eater!

That also means you can’t leave the table until she’s done. So if you’re a quick eater and impatient, also sucks for you! Aren’t you glad you’re not a royal?

Supposedly, royals who wear lipstick are not allowed to leave a bunch of lipstick marks. So you have to sip from the same place.

Everyone must wear modest clothing at dinnertime. No crop tops or cleavage — so old-fashioned!

Royals enter a room by order of basically how important they are. The Queen goes in first, and Harry and Meghan enter last.

The Queen hates it when seasonal produce isn’t used. If you’re not cooking with beets in the winter or baking with berries in the summertime, she gets annoyed. Hey, it’s what nature intended.

Next time Prince William and his family have a pizza party, it’d be nice to get an invite. We’ll all make sure to use plates, to ease Middleton’s mind a little bit.

Don’t be a nightmare pizza person like Prince William and make the tastiest pizza, ever! Watch here:

Brilliant!
