Frappuccinos are always delicious, but summer is totally their season to shine. Starbucks is always on top of innovative products and new drinks, so it’s no surprise that they released their third new seasonal Frap. And this one’s pretty colorful.
Their latest Frappuccino is nothing like the two that came before it (aka, the Ultra Caramel and Triple Mocha). Well, aside from the fact that it’s delicious. It’s called the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino. And sorry, coffee-lovers, this one is caffeine-free. It might be a good choice for a dessert drink instead of a right-before-work beverage. Or hey, you do you. Sometimes you just need a milkshake for breakfast, because life is too short. According to Delish, it’s a lot like the Strawberries and Creme drink that Starbucks offered, and layers vanilla whipped cream with a yummy strawberry puree. Its base is all about a blend of strawberry infusion, ice, and milk.
The site also notes that out of all the fun drinks you can snag at Starbucks, this one’s expected to stay on the menu permanently.

So if you want to fall in love with a new Frap, this one might be a good choice — it won’t disappear in a few days like, say, the much-discussed Unicorn Frappuccino which was released in April 2017 and was a visual masterpiece. Remember the sprinkles of “fairy powder” on top of a whipped cream mountain? Yum.
Here are some stats on the Serious Strawberry Frappuccino, as reported by USA Today: The drink will cost anywhere between $4.95 and $5.45, depending on where you’re located. If you’re worried about calories, it’s estimated to have 350 (this all depends on what size drink you get). All in all, not too terrible for a cool treat. In comparison, the Unicorn Frappuccino had 410.
Strawberries are one of the best fruits (especially in the summer.) It’s so good that Starbucks unleashed such a refreshing new Frap that includes them!
