Hellmann’s Texas Chili Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 all-beef hamburger patty
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 1 hamburger bun
  • ¼ C chili, prepared
  • red onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat. Add a small amount of neutral oil.
  2. Add a squirt of Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise to each side of the patty, then place in the pan to sear.
  3. Cook the burger to your liking, and add the cheese on top. Spread more mayonnaise on the inside of each half of the buns, and add to the pan to toast.
  4. To build the burger, add more Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise to the bottom bun. Top with the patty, the chili, and slices of red onion. Add more mayonnaise to the top bun before adding.

  • 1 C whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. To make the biscuit buns: Preheat the oven to 450ºF. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cream of tartar. Cut in the frozen butter pieces gradually, stopping when there are pea-sized pieces throughout the dough. Mix in the milk and egg. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, and knead, folding the dough 10-15 times. Shape to a 1” thickness, and use a 3.25” biscuit cutter to make rounds. Place on a lined baking sheet. Brush the tops of each biscuit with the Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise, then bake 15 minutes, or until golden on top.
  2. Slice the biscuit bun in half, and add a drizzle of Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise to both halves.
  3. On the bottom bun, add the patty, cheese, tomato, and arugula, then sandwich closed with the top bun. Enjoy!
