For whatever reason, the holiday season can bring out everyone’s whacky side. Thankfully, there are multiple internet forums to capture the chaos. One such forum, the subreddit r/insanepeoplefacebook, shared a Facebook post from an angry user upset about the new Burger King holiday cups. The post’s headline reads, “I thought this was satire until I checked her profile and realized it’s not.” Uh oh.
To give you some context, Burger King recently released limited-edition holiday cups that play off the whole “naughty or nice” idea. One side of the cup shows a “nice” snowman with a halo above its head. The other side depicts a “naughty” snowman, complete with devil horns, spatula pitchfork, and stereotypical black goatee.
Cute, you say. So, what’s the problem? Well, we’ll let this angry Facebook user tell you:
“Had a freakout today,” the post begins. “We go and get our Burger King and the first thing I have to see is the devil in my face! It is bad enough I have met the real one face to face in my dreams and see his evil around the world… I don’t need to see him on my cup either!!”
The Facebook user continues, “This is an outrage and I am FURIOUS! I do NOT want this image in my child’s head and now I am VERY UNHAPPY because he saw it and [stared] it down and I had to hurry and turn it around!”

The author continued to question why the devil needs to be publicized. They demand, “TAKE THE DEVIL OUT OF OUR SOCIETY AND OUT OF THE SIGHT OF OUR CHILDREN!!!” Woah.
The reddit post has received over 540 upvotes since its December 9th posting. And needless to say, the comments section has blown up.
“The good news is this particular Devil is made out of snow and so he would melt immediately in Hell. Problem solved,” user willfrost21 said. KTOlovesH2O wrote, “Hmm she should be more concerned with the devil’s visits to her in her dreams, she must be part of ~his master plan~.”
Others are just baffled by such a strong reaction caused by an illustrated fast food cup.
We understand that some parents following a certain religion may want to protect their children from specific images. However, it’s a Burger King cup with a snowman on it. Putting that rage into something a bit more meaningful might benefit both oneself and others.
Yeesh — and Starbucks thought they had it bad.
