Lucky McDonald’s fans in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood will get to try a new breakfast item that will undoubtedly take America by storm. As part of a new international lineup at the McDonald’s global headquarters restaurant in Chicago, a Chicken McMuffin with Egg will soon be added to the location’s breakfast menu. We’re so jealous.
According to a November 6th press release, McDonald’s headquarters launched an international menu at its home-base restaurant, which gives customers the chance to sample McDonald’s delicacies from India, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Hong Kong.
The Chicken McMuffin with Egg hails from Hong Kong and several other Asian McDonald’s locations. It’s sort like your run-of-the-mill McMuffin, but tucked inside the layers of English muffin, egg, American cheese, and mayonnaise is a crispy McChicken patty.
Imagine chowing down on a Chicken McMuffin with Egg paired with a fried-to-perfection hash brown — that’s seriously the breakfast of our dreams.
McDonald’s global headquarters restaurant will also give customers a taste of Australia’s Cheddar BBQ Bacon Burger, which includes “a third-pound Angus beef patty, seasoned with McDonald’s proprietary Angus seasoning, topped with two slices of white cheddar cheese, two slices of bacon, grilled onions, mayonnaise and BBQ sauce, served on a toasted artisan bun;” Canada’s Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich, served with either grilled or crispy chicken; and Deluxe Potatoes from France.
“Customers have expressed interest in items from McDonald’s restaurants located in India and we’re excited to offer them the opportunity to try the long-time vegetarian favorite, McAloo Tikki,” said McDonald’s Owner/Operator Nick Karavites via the press release.
The McAloo Tikki has a veggie patty made from potatoes, pea, and seasoning “reminiscent of samosas.” It’s topped with red onions, tomato slices, and an eggless creamy tomato mayo. Vegetarians rejoice!
We hope the people of Chicago praise Mickey D’s international selections. Hopefully that beautiful McDonald’s breakfast sandwich will make it to other locations nationwide sooner rather than later.
