Remember when Taco Bell experimented with Nacho Fries? And sure, you may have balked at Burger King’s Chicken Fries, but they’re actually quite tasty. All of the best fast food chains have experimented with some sort of specialty fry in the past, and Dunkin’ Donuts — known best for its coffee and breakfast sandwiches — doesn’t want to be left out. They revealed that pretty soon, you’ll be able to order Donut Fries. Best. News. Ever.
According to Refinery29, the donut fries were once only available in select locations throughout Boston, MA and Providence, RI. But it looks like those tests were a success, since they’re getting a wide release next week, starting on July 2nd. But like with most good things (RIP, aforementioned Nacho Fries), Donut Fries will only be available for a limited time.
For just $2, you’ll get five croissant-like donut strips that have a brown sugar coating. You might want to order a box of Munchkins while you’re at it, since much like an elementary school birthday, this snack debut is a reason to celebrate.
According to several Instagram users, a few Dunkin’ Donuts locations tried getting their customers excited for donut fries by giving away free samples. Which is pretty smart, since who can say no to a complimentary donut?
