There’s a lot of things that come to mind when you think of Oreo. Music probably isn’t one of them. That is, until today. Just in time for the holidays, Oreo unveiled a very special Oreo turntable that literally depends on their popular cookies to work. According to Delish, a few varieties will work. The cookie more or less serves as a record. They won’t play Bruno Mars, but they will reportedly play songs about Oreos.
Even better, the turntable — which also comes with Oreo Thins, a package of White Fudge Oreos, and a sleeve of standard Oreos — is decently priced at $20. So, if you’re looking for a holiday gift for the cookie fan in your life who also enjoys some tunes, this one is quirky enough to work. The music box reportedly will also allow you to record a personal message if Oreo songs aren’t your thing. It’s a nice way to personalize the gift. (Another good idea is to gift it along with a ton of holiday Oreos, since ’tis the season.)
Curious about how to change the song? Simple — you just bite into the cookie, and the tune changes. That’s the sort of Oreo innovation we never knew we needed.
Here’s a video of a very similar box in China, so you can see what it’s all about:

If you’re stuck on presents this year, the Oreo Music Box might be the perfect solution. No matter what, it’s a totally cool concept that makes us look at Oreos in a whole new way.
