The internet can be a hilarious place, and Twitter is no exception. You can find everything from giggle-worthy food memes to trending hashtags that are relatable, comical, and downright entertaining. Yet, the best part is when something goes viral and totally stumps people, because the comments that follow are often pure gold. Take this store photo, for example…
@lisasim89348922 shared the photo and people have so many questions:
At first glance, the photo looks your average free sample table at Costco (also known as what dreams are made of). But as you can see, it’s actually quite the opposite. The free samples are toilet paper, and as you can imagine, there’s a lot to take in here.
First, let’s look at the $89.95 price tag. You can be sure that Twitter users had a thing or two to say about that…
$89.95??? it better be buying me the meal that i'm gonna use it for later

Since @Costco is so into free samples, I don't understand why they don't extend that to toilet paper. Instead of 1 ply in their restrooms, imagine if they had like 6 different rolls on the stall walls so you see for yourself the difference between ultra soft and ultra strong tp.

How do you sample toilet paper, Costco?
— quentin (@qhemphill_) October 17, 2015
Why yes #Costco I would like a sample roll of toilet paper.

One would hope, @tastewart.
…But as it turns out, this photo was actually taken at a store in the Caribbean!
@SweetTrini_Jin was nice enough to point this out:
Phew. Thank goodness, @dmferrin!
Okay, so it all makes sense now. There’s just one thing wrong with the photo, though.
How does one sample toilet paper?!
Again, the folks in Twitterland had some legitimate concerns, and we can’t stop LOLing.
We couldn’t agree more, @tawnymmhs37.
A cat litter box for humans? Oh my.
True story, @brwnzm…
Nothing like toilet paper served on a silver plate, right?
It never hurts to be prepared.
If you ever come across free toilet paper samples at the grocery store, be prepared. You might be in for one interesting conversation.
