Toll House Secretly Dropped Its Cookie Of The Year, And The Flavor Will Make You Wish It Was Summer Forever

Toll House pulled a Beyoncé and dropped their Cookie of the Year without warning. To be honest, we would eat up and worship any flavor they named Cookie of the Year. But the flavor Toll House chose for 2018 is making us dream of a 12 month-long summer. Now, it’s time to get all the cookie sheets ready because you’re going to want to make several batches of Toll House’s Ice Cream Sundae cookies.

Without letting anyone know what they were up to, Nestle Toll House snuck their Ice Cream Sundae cookie dough into supermarkets across the country on or around July 29th. And we’re still not sure which stores have the dough and which don’t — because Toll House has remained completely mum.

But the brains behind the Three Snackateers Instagram account found Ice Cream Sundae break-and-bake dough in the refrigerator section of Meijer’s supermarket. So if you’re looking to get your hands on some of these sweet treats right now, get thee to a Meijer’s ASAP.

Although Toll House has given us nothing but radio silence regarding the new flavor, Micky from the Three Snackateers blog spilled all the juicy details on the Cookie of the Year. And wow, are we stoked to try this cookie.

The base of the Ice Cream Sundae cookie is a standard chocolate chip cookie with a few sprinkles mixed in.

Okay, that sounds pretty lackluster, you say. But wait, there’s more! On top of the standard chocolate chip cookie base are pieces of waffle cone. Crispy, crunchy, golden waffle cone bits that keep their texture after baking, Three Snackateers notes.

Chocolate chip cookie plus crunchy waffle cone topping equals us praising the sugar gods.

Although Micky from the Three Snackateers blog admits she wasn’t getting a lot of ice cream sundae flavor from the Cookie of the Year, she does say that this Toll House cookie is absolutely worth trying.

You don’t have to tell us, Micky. We’re already on our way to the supermarket.

Are you a serious cookie monster? Same. To up your baking game, you should definitely try our six cookie hacks.

Each one will surely make your house smell sweet.
