This Mom Accidentally Made Her Son A Birthday Cake In The Shape Of Something Super Naughty, Oops

Kate Kirven’s 6-year-old son has a thing for geodes. So, wanting to be a supermom, Kirven took it upon herself to bake her kid a geode cake for his birthday party. As great a job as Kirven did putting the cake together, she unknowingly turned the innocent idea into something fairly naughty. Kirven made her son’s birthday cake look like a “sparkly vagina,” and hey, it happens to the best of us.

Kirven shared her masterpiece to The Unmumsy Mum Facebook page on October 1st, where it quickly went viral. Her post has been liked over 5,200 times and has racked up over 490 shares.

“My son is obsessed with all things gold and crystals at the moment, so I decided to make him a ‘geode’ cake for his 6th birthday,” Kervin wrote in her post. “It wasn’t until I finished it that I realised I’ve basically made him a sparkly vagina.”

One Facebook commenter called it a “vajazzaled cake.” Several others said that Kirven may want to bring her vagina cake to a doctor.

Luckily for Kirven, the innocence of childhood (versus the dirty minds of adults on the internet, AHEM) meant that her son saw nothing but the rad gold and geodes on his birthday cake. Perhaps he’ll look back when he’s older and have a different opinion. Which, you know what, that’s okay. Because we hope Kirven’s son is raised in a body-positive environment! So what if the cake looks a little bit like a vagina? That can also be super empowering — maybe for someone a little bit older than six, though.

Honestly, after seeing Kirven’s cake, we really can’t unsee sparkly vaginas in every geode cake we come across. There’s just something about that crevasse shape…

It’s not like this hasn’t happened before.

Back in June, we discovered a toddler’s cake with candles that spelled out “two,” that looked like a really, really bad word when the picture was flipped around.

Obviously the cake wasn’t meant to spell out the “C”-word, and once again, the internet just had its way with a viral cake photo. As long as it’s all in good fun, we feel okay laughing about this. And Kirven’s vagina cake.
