Coca Cola is preparing a wave of releases that could make familiar drink aisles look noticeably different in 2027. The company has confirmed plans spanning soda, sports drinks, sparkling water, vitamin drinks and protein shakes, with several recognizable brands getting unexpected additions. Some lean heavily into flavor, while others experiment with what consumers increasingly expect a beverage to do beyond simply taste good. The first arrivals are only months away.
The Company Is Chasing More Than the Next Viral Flavor

The scale of the rollout reflects a broader bet on changing drinking habits. Coca Cola says consumers increasingly want different choices depending on the moment, including hydration, protein, zero sugar options and drinks with added functionality. Shakir Moin, the company’s North America marketing president, said evolving preferences are pushing Coca Cola to offer more choices across its portfolio. That strategy is about to reach some very familiar names.
Two New Coca Cola Flavors Put Fruit and Nostalgia Together

The flagship brand gets two major additions. Coca Cola Cherry Lime arrives in February 2027, combining its familiar cherry profile with lime. Then Coca Cola Strawberry Float lands in summer, blending strawberry with creamy vanilla notes meant to evoke an old-fashioned soda float. Both are planned in regular and Zero Sugar versions, giving Coca Cola two very different ways to remix its signature drink.
Coke, Sprite and Fresca Are Getting a Six Gram Experiment

Flavor is only part of Coca Cola’s strategy. The company is testing prebiotic versions of Coca Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar and Fresca, each containing six grams of prebiotic fiber and zero sugar. The limited pilot begins in late October 2026 in parts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Coca Cola says it will use the regional rollout to evaluate consumer response before deciding where the idea goes from there.
Powerade Is Adding Two Zero Sugar Options in January

Sports drink shoppers get their turn early in the year. Powerade plans to introduce Watermelon and Lemon Lime Zero Sugar in January 2027, expanding the brand’s flavor choices without adding sugar. Coca Cola is also broadening its functional beverage portfolio elsewhere, including a grape vitaminwater zero sugar formula 100 scheduled for March. It will provide 100 percent of the daily value of several vitamins, including C, E and multiple B vitamins.
Mr. Pibb Is Taking a Darker Berry Turn for Spring

Mr. Pibb has one of the more unusual limited releases in the lineup. Mr. Pibb Black Current is planned for spring 2027, with Coca Cola describing it as a berry forward drink featuring blackberry and black currant flavors. It will contain 54 milligrams of caffeine. Unlike several permanent looking additions elsewhere in the portfolio, this one is specifically being presented as a limited time offering, giving curious soda drinkers a narrower window to find it.
Topo Chico Is Going Tropical With Pineapple and Coconut

Topo Chico is also moving deeper into flavored refreshment. Topo Chico Sabores Pineapple Coconut is scheduled for February 2027, adding a tropical combination to the brand’s fruit focused sparkling water lineup. It follows Topo Chico Colección, a premium carbonated filtered water launching in October 2026 with minerals added for flavor. Together, the releases show Coca Cola expanding the brand in two directions, one centered on tropical flavor and another on a more premium drinking experience.
Core Power Banana Is Coming Back After Fans Asked for It

Another January release comes from Fairlife’s Core Power protein shake line, but there is an important distinction. Banana is returning to U.S. shelves rather than debuting as a completely new flavor. Fairlife says it was the No. 1 flavor consumers asked the brand to bring back. It will be available with 26 or 42 grams of protein and made with real banana puree, giving the comeback considerably more weight than a routine flavor addition.
Strawberry Is Also Getting a New Place in the Core Power Lineup

Banana will not return alone. Core Power Strawberry is joining the permanent 26 gram protein lineup in January 2027, while Strawberry already exists in the 42 gram range. The new 26 gram version will replace Strawberry Banana, separating the two fruits into individual offerings. Fairlife says Core Power Banana and Strawberry will begin reaching U.S. shelves in January, with availability expanding across retailers in the following months.
Coca Cola’s 2027 Lineup Stretches Far Beyond Soda

Taken together, the releases show a beverage giant spreading its bets across several consumer trends at once. Coca Cola is pairing nostalgic flavors with Zero Sugar options, adding fruit combinations to established brands, expanding protein choices and experimenting with prebiotic fiber. The company says additional innovation is planned throughout 2027, meaning the announced Cherry Lime, Strawberry Float, Powerade, Mr. Pibb, Topo Chico and Core Power releases may represent only part of next year’s lineup.
