Raising Cane’s is continuing its rapid U.S. expansion with seven new restaurants scheduled to open across six states in October 2026. The chicken-finger chain will add locations in California, Georgia, Idaho, Michigan, Oregon and Wisconsin, including its first restaurants in three cities. The expansion comes as Cane’s continues building on a footprint of more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide.

The new locations will bring the chain to San Francisco and Goleta in California, Macon in Georgia, Idaho Falls in Idaho, Grandville in Michigan, Springfield in Oregon and Wausau in Wisconsin. Three of those markets, Macon, Springfield and Wausau, are getting their first Raising Cane’s restaurants. The openings are spread throughout the month, giving customers in each community a specific date to look forward to.

Raising Cane’s is known for keeping its core menu focused on chicken fingers rather than offering a broad fast-food menu. Its meals feature hand-battered chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane’s Toast, Cane’s Sauce and fresh-squeezed lemonade, a simple format that has remained central to the brand as it expands into more markets.

Wisconsin will get the first new restaurant of the month, with the Wausau location at 226422 Rib Mountain Drive scheduled to open October 5. California will then add two locations on October 12, at 255 Winston Drive in San Francisco and 7000 Hollister Avenue in Goleta. Springfield, Oregon, will follow on October 13 with a restaurant at 2720 Gateway Street.

The remaining openings are scheduled for later in October. Macon, Georgia, will get its first Cane’s at 4951 Riverside Drive on October 19, followed by Grandville, Michigan, at 3980 Rivertown Mall Path on October 22. Idaho Falls, Idaho, rounds out the October schedule with a location at 2236 S. 25th E., scheduled to open October 27.

That means customers in all six states have an opening to watch for, but the experience will be especially new for residents of Macon, Springfield and Wausau. Raising Cane’s said the new restaurants are an opportunity to become part of their local communities while bringing its signature chicken-finger meals to customers who previously had to travel elsewhere to visit the chain.

The Expansion Is Part of a Much Larger Growth Push

The seven October openings are only part of Raising Cane’s broader expansion. The company says it has more than 1,000 restaurants when international locations are included, and its growth plans have included new restaurants across dozens of U.S. states as well as international markets. The chain also has restaurants in Bahrain and Kuwait, while its first United Kingdom location is expected in early 2027.

Raising Cane’s has been opening restaurants at a rapid pace throughout 2026. In September alone, the company said it opened six restaurants in five states, including new locations in Michigan, Tennessee, Colorado, California and Oregon. The October schedule therefore continues a year of expansion rather than representing a one-time burst of new stores.

The company’s focused menu is also a major part of its identity as it grows. Instead of competing by offering burgers, pizza, tacos and a long list of other fast-food categories, Cane’s centers its restaurants around chicken fingers and a small group of accompanying items. That consistent concept allows customers to know what to expect while the company takes its restaurants into new cities and regions.

More Communities Are Getting a Taste of Raising Cane’s

For residents of Wausau, San Francisco, Goleta, Springfield, Macon, Grandville and Idaho Falls, the October openings will make Raising Cane’s more accessible without requiring a trip to another city. The three first-time markets are particularly notable because they mark the brand’s first physical presence in those communities. Each new restaurant also brings additional local jobs and a new fast-food option to its surrounding area.

Customers interested in visiting one of the new restaurants should keep the individual opening dates in mind because the seven locations are not opening simultaneously. Wausau opens October 5, San Francisco and Goleta follow October 12, Springfield opens October 13, Macon on October 19, Grandville on October 22 and Idaho Falls on October 27.

The latest openings show how quickly Raising Cane’s continues to grow while sticking closely to the formula that made the chain recognizable. With more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide and additional U.S. and international locations planned, customers can expect the familiar combination of chicken fingers, fries, Cane’s Toast, Cane’s Sauce and lemonade to keep appearing in new communities.
