The war between the fast food giants continues. On November 5th, the Burger King U.K. Twitter account used a Kanye West tweet to throw some serious shade at McDonald’s. Or did it use McDonald’s to throw shade at Kanye? The jury is still out.
The Burger King U.K. Twitter account quoted a November 4th Kanye West tweet that read, “McDonald’s is my favorite restaurant.” With just three words, Burger King took down rival Mickey D’s by adding, “Explains a lot.”
The King has literally thrown down the gauntlet and over 780,000 people have tuned into the duel of the century.
Sadly, neither the McDonald’s nor the McDonald’s U.K. Twitter accounts have retaliated. We’re just hoping they’re not waiting for the drama to blow over, but that they are instead brewing up a loaded response.
And what does Wendy’s — perhaps the sassiest of all the fast food chains — have to say about the matter? Wendy’s also quoted Ye’s tweet and added, “I’m my favorite restaurant.” Classic Wendy’s taking its own side.
Although Ye supposedly favors McDonald’s, he famously bought wife Kim Kardashian the rights to open several Burger King locations in the U.K. He also purchased the rights to 10 Fatburger franchises in Chicago. Neither West nor Kardashian have acted on these fast food rights.
Explains a lot https://t.co/CalmlcD3eu

We certainly hope West is happy knowing that he may have started a potential battle between the king and the clown.

And whoever sits on Burger King U.K.’s social media throne deserves all the riches life can offer.
If we knew this was going to blow up we would have made a soundcloud..

McDonald’s, it’s time to fight back. Maybe you can get Wendy’s to help you come up with something just as killer as what Burger King U.K. dished out.
