What Kourtney Kardashian Eats On Her Cheat Days Is Pretty Relatable — Surprisingly

In a recent Poosh writeup, Kourtney Kardashian and the Poosh team opened up about their cheat day habits. While everyone admitted that a cheat day here and there (or everywhere) is pertinent to staying happy while also staying healthy, Kourtney let us into what a cheat day looked like when she was on the keto diet.

Kourtney was a devout keto follower for most of 2018. She ditched most of the carbs in her diet and replaced them with vegetables and lean protein. For those who are unaware, the ketogenic diet is one that preaches a high-fat, low-carb diet, which puts the body into ketosis where its burning fats instead of carbs for energy. (Consult your doctor if you plan to try this one.)

One must be strict when following the keto diet in order to maintain ketosis. Therefore, Kourtney only allowed herself to cheat one day per week.

“[W]hen I did the keto diet, I was very strict six days a week and my cheat day was on Sundays,” she said. “I’d go to the farmers market before church and get a matcha latte and chocolate croissant from Alfred’s, and then after church, I’d head to Soho House for their buffet (all-you-can-eat waffles with butter and syrup).”

Now that she’s migrated away from ketosis, Kourtney is a bit more lenient with her cheating habits. “I cheat twice a day with a little something sweet after lunch and dinner,” she wrote on Poosh.

“On my recent trip to Turks, we had a handful of junky foods, like Double Stuf Oreos and Cheetos for all of us to snack on.”

Even though it sounds like Kourtney cheats on her diet with the same kind of food we do, something tells us we’re not entirely on the same page. Oh well.

Other Poosh team members chimed in about their cheat day essentials as well. Michelle Scanga often opts for a breakfast from Bagel Broker, a burger lunch from Sunset Tower, and a pasta/pizza dinner from Jon & Vinny’s.

Poosh’s Rachel Godfrey heads to Eataly for the Cacio e Pepe. “I always couple that with a glass of white wine and finish everything off with a cannoli, gelato or tiramisu. It’s too good to ever feel guilty about,” she writes.

And Sarah Howard calls every day a cheat day. She snacks on “Reese’s Peanut Butter Sticks, Milk Bar cookie pops, cupcakes (no chocolate, just vanilla), and edible cookie dough.”

TBH, this is a diet we can get behind. Bring on the candy and cupcakes.

As the Poosh team stated in their post, cheat days where one indulges in unhealthy foods are best when done in moderation. Everybody deserves to treat themselves. However, it’s also important to take care of oneself, and to make sure you’re checking in with your doctor when it comes to your overall health and happiness.

Take it from JoJo:

We know how easy it can be for that cheat day to turn into a cheat week, cheat month, cheat year, etc. So, hold yourself accountable, but also remember that there are no inherently “bad foods.” Make sure to find the right balance for you.

Honestly, we wouldn’t mind our cheat days looking like Rachel’s. Yum…

But wow do we love looking at what other people are mowing down on their cheat days. Pics like these put our cheat days to shame.

We certainly hope those are all for you. Go big or go home.

So true. SO TRUE.

The best of both worlds. We’re weeping with joy.

Hey, if Kourtney Kardashian can cheat with Oreos and Cheetos, we can definitely have a burger, some pasta, an entire pizza, drinks, and more drinks… right?

Fine. You’re right. Moderation is key. But we already ordered this meat lover’s pizza, so… down the hatch!
